Design your Cake

 

We would be honored to be a part of your wedding celebration. Planning a wedding can be a big undertaking, but designing your cake should be stress-free, fun, and creative process.

We feel it’s best to meet with each of our wedding clients face-to-face so that we can really get to know you and your vision for your celebration. Our design appointments are held in our Grand Haven studio and take about 45 minutes to an hour. We will discuss your event and your ideas, create a color sketch of your cake, and provide you with some delicious samples of the cake flavors you wish to try.

Things to know:

Ok, wedding cake and dessert pricing! Lots of options! 

Here is the basic rundown so you can kind of gauge what direction you may want to go.  This pricing is for our buttercream cakes.  If you are looking for additional add ons like gold leaf, lusters, fondant and gumpaste work, etc. That will be an additional cost depending upon the cost of the add ons, degree of details, and additional time required for the added details. 

  • Our four tiered cakes serve about 130 people. That usually runs around $900.  If you want to save the top tier, you’d be looking at about 120 servings.   

  • Then a three tier cakes serves about 75/80 This would allow you to save the top tier and serve the bottom two to your guests.  That typically runs about $600.  Then the additional guests can have kitchen cake or cupcakes which are $3.50/person.

  • The two tier cakes serves about 40.   That runs about $250.  Then the additional guests can have kitchen cake or cupcakes which are $3.50/person.  

Kitchen cakes are built the same as the tiers of cake on the wedding cake.  They have a substantial better presentation and your guests think they are all getting a piece of the wedding cake!  We unfortunately do not make sheet cakes.  

Another option would be a dessert bars, which varies $10/person for about 3-4 pieces per person, $7/person for about 2-3 bites per person, or $5 for about  1-2 bites per person.   Some of this pricing may vary depending upon what items are chosen.  For example, our berry mousse parfaits are a higher price point than our mini cupcakes.

Mini drop cookies $2 each 
Individual Verrines - tiramisu, strawberry shortcake, pan a cotta, mousse, etc. $4-5 each 
Mini tarts - lemon, key lime, chocolate, etc. $3-5 each.   

If you’d like to schedule to receive a cake tasting box, they are $15 per box and include a variety of the cakes, buttercreams, and accent flavors we offer.  To order a box, schedule pick up, and pay over the phone please call the bakery at 616.414.9555.
